This was an exploration of a single object, where I chose a Pencil. From there I underwent the process of creating a graphic translation of the object, which then turned into an abstract translation, and eventually an icon. In addition to background research on our objects, the point was to learn how to go through a full design process with many variations and a lot of research to fully understand the subject of our design work, and then properly communicate its meaning, message, and/or significance.
